The chart above shows the per capita GDP and change in per capita GDP over the last ten years in EU and US regions in US dollars.  All four EU regions experienced a contraction in per capita GDP when priced in US dollars over the past ten years.  A good chunk of that contraction came from fluctuations in the values of the euro and the dollar.

The chart above shows the per capita GDP and change in per capita GDP over the last ten years in EU and US states in US dollars.  Luxembourg continues to maintain the highest per capita GDP of all EU and US states by far.  However, there are only two other EU states in the top 25 (out of 78): Ireland with the eighth highest per capita GDP and Denmark with the 25th.

The chart above shows the widths and lengths of the ten best-selling vehicles in the EU and the US.  As a whole, the best-selling vehicles in the US are considerably longer than the best-selling vehicles in the EU but the same does not hold true for width.

The chart above shows the GDP and change in GDP over the last ten years in EU and US regions in US dollars.  All four US regions grew in the past ten years while all four EU regions shrank in the past ten years (when priced in US dollars).

The chart above shows the GDP and change in GDP over the last ten years in EU and US states in US dollars.  Although the three largest economies all shrank in the ten year period, they managed to remain the three largest economies, even though the second and third largest economies swapped places.

The chart above shows change in GDP over the last year in EU and US regions.  The Eastern EU was the fastest growing region in both the EU and the US by far.

The chart above shows change in GDP over the last year in EU and US states.  The 16 fastest growing states last year were all in the EU.  The fastest growing US state ranks 17th overall.  However, the state with the largest contraction is also from the EU (although not for long).

The chart above shows change in GDP over the last ten years in EU and US regions.  Although the EU has three of the fastest growing regions, it also has one region where there was almost no growth at all over the past ten years.  Whereas in the US, growth was weaker than most EU regions but more equally spread out among them.
